30/11/22 pm - STOP PRESS !!!!!!
WELL THE APPLICATION WAS REFUSED
BUT THAT'S NOT ENOUGH TO STOP "CARING" BANKS

SEE NEW PAGE !!
"BANKS APPEAL OBJECTIONS"
DON'T JUST SHRUG AND LET BARTON BE BULLIED BY BANKS
IT'S OUR TOWN & COMMUNITY - NOT THEIRS
LET THEM KNOW THIS !!

Not surprisingly, there's a mass of detail behind the Banks application that has been submitted

You may have sent emails or letters to Martin Vickers/NLC/Councillors about this before
But now the application has been submitted, it's important that you formally register your objection (belt and braces!)
It's quick and simple to do this on the NLC website (fill in your name/address/email details or the form will bounce!)

Google: "apps.northlincs.gov.uk"
In the Location box, enter   PA/2021/2151
Click "Search"
All the details are there, below the location map
THE ELECTRONIC "SUBMIT A COMMENT" FORM IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FIRST PAGE

If you're short of time, these are the minimum issues to mention in your OBJECTION:
This application is on Greenbelt land. The Government has now said it will prioritise building on Brownbelt land
The plot is outside of the current development area of the town
The plot is outside of the currently-proposed 2038 Local Plan (LP) development area of the town

DEADLINE IS NOW 20/1/22 (WAS 30/12/21 UNTIL CHALLENGED !!)
PLEASE NOTE: EACH ADULT IN THE HOUSEHOLD CAN SUBMIT COMMENTS !!

THESE ARE THE KEY THINGS THAT RAID THINKS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER
WE WILL ADD TO THIS AS WE GET MORE FEEDBACK

KEY DETAILS (THESE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN YOUR OBJECTIONS !!)
This application is on Greenbelt land. The Government has now said it will prioritise building on Brownbelt land
The plot is outside of the current development area of the town
The plot is outside of the currently-proposed 2038 Local Plan (LP) development area of the town

(Banks has lobbied to change the Local Plan (LP) and they will probably continue to do so) (Appeals etc)
(Banks is not even from this County and wants to overturn a North Lincolnshire plan ! How arrogant is that ?!)

PRETTY PICTURES
Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures, the devil is in the small detail !
Note that key layout drawings are "Indicative" - i.e. not to be trusted !

FOOT IN THE DOOR (1)
Seems that all they are trying to nail down initially is "up to 390 homes" and the two access roads
The rests falls under "Reserved Matters" and that gives them plenty of time to change layouts and details later on (not uncommon practice)
So be wary of Fairy Tales.....

FOOT IN THE DOOR (2)

RAID thinks the most revealing drawing is one that shows just a few lines on it
(See document "Other land in Applicants Control", on first page)

THAT'S THE ONE THAT SHOWS THE REAL LONGER TERM INTENT
THAT'S WHY BANKS AND THE ("TOP 5 UK") BUILDERS WANT THIS PRIZE
Land to the South of the "Application Plot"
Two large plots of land to the West of the A15
Is that the real thinking behind the current NLC Relief Road plan? (no buildings were mentioned by our Councillors on 27/5/21 !)

WHO OPPOSES THIS DEVELOPMENT?
Martin Vickers MP
Councillors Jon Evison & Paul Vickers
Councillor Rob Waltham

OTHER DETAILS
7 years of construction dust and pollution (for the initial 390 homes, anyway)
They are treading carefully with this initial application regarding the visual effect on the countryside
But once the detail (Builder) plans are approved they can just say "well, there's housing there already"
And then fill every gap possible - no defence !
The current 2038 LP would see Barton grow by about 12% - which seems reasonable
Banks already have their eyes on land that could make this figure about 33% - maybe more
THINK OF THAT - BARTON A THIRD BIGGER THAN NOW !
They seem to believe that our existing infrastructure will cope (for 390 homes, anyway)
On 11/11/21 we said "about 200" total additional vehicles on Tofts/Brigg Road at peak hours
RAID was not far out (again!) - Banks are predicting about 218 average (for 390 homes)
This isn't just about a cute little estate - it's about a long term agenda that will overload Barton even more
And we'll be left with having to manage, yet again
390 homes? Think (at least) double and maybe treble this figure - and maybe more schemes we don't know about
And think about "Banks" total traffic figures perhaps becoming 500 - 700 at peak hours - maybe more?
We're still asking for data, but we think the Wren shift change figure is about 800 - which may give you an idea of the potential total "Banks effect"
We're now hearing suggestions that Banks seems to think the answer to Central Surgery problems is to go to Winterton and Brigg
Think about the real-world effects
Banks will make a killing in more ways than just the money - it will help to kill this town even more
But they'll sell up and move on
"Development with Care" for Shareholders and Builder Chums....

INTERESTING THAT THIS MAJOR APPLICATION HAS BEEN DROPPED ON US ON THE VERGE OF CHRISTMAS AND THE CUT-OFF WAS ORIGINALLY 30/12/21 (SINCE CHALLENGED AND NOW  CHANGED TO 20/1/22 !!)
"Development with Care" to make sure Residents are busy with Christmas and grappling with Omicron restrictions? Now surely Banks wouldn't be that sneaky on purpose, would they?
Or perhaps they would....?

BARTON IS BEING STITCHED UP !!
RAID SAYS: "BANKS - NOT TO BE TRUSTED" !!
IT'S NOT ABOUT INDIVIDUALS - THIS WILL AFFECT THE WHOLE TOWN AND SURROUNDING AREA
IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT ??
