Local Planning

Local Authorities have the difficult job of trying to plan development in a controlled manner
They have to develop go and no-go areas, otherwise it would be a free-for-all. Total chaos !
  • Permissible development lines are defined
  • Agricultural land has to be approved for change-of-use, if building is to be permitted

Before progressing a Planning Application, most people seek advice from the Planning Officer
So it's interesting that Banks are prepared to spend money on pushing a scheme that is:
  • On agricultural land
  • Outside of current permissible development areas
Surely this was pointed out to them?  If so, it didn't seem make any difference

Maybe it's also interesting that Banks (in the words of one attendee) displayed an air of "assured arrogance" during a presentation the town's planning meeting of 16/8/21

Another attendee's quote:

"IT ALMOST SEEMED LIKE THEY KNEW APPROVAL WAS ALREADY IN THE BAG"

DO THEY ALREADY KNOW SOMETHING WE DON'T....?

ARE WE BEING TAKEN FOR FOOLS?
